We believe that God gave each one of us unique spiritual gifts to be used in God's ministry. As the Apostle Paul put it:
God's various ministries are carried out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful!
-- 1 Corinthians 12: 4-11a, The Message
We believe that church is a place to try out and grow your spiritual gifts, so we encourage one another to try new things. We are also very much aware that sometimes people are afraid that if they volunteer for something at a church, that will be their "job" until they can no longer see the numbers or lift the hammer. We want you to serve with joy - so if you can tell us where your heart is or isn't leading you, we'll pay attention to those promptings of the Spirit.
